Devoted to botanical macrophotography and capturing the fleeting beauty of flowers, Katharine is classically trained with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Dallas. Her professional background includes art gallery curation, real estate marketing, and administration. Katharine’s mother (Vesta), model and artist, inspired her love of flowers through gardening and traveling the world visiting castles, museums and gardens. Her travels, knowledge of art history and affinity with floral artists such as Bosschaert, O’Keefe, and Fantin-Latour inform her creative decisions—her goal is to impress those who view her images to slow down and notice details of nature that are sometimes overlooked. She is obsessed with the idea of including nature into interior design, “Bringing outside in”. Katharine’s work has been published by Photographer’s Forum Magazine,Philanthropy in Texas and have been digitally exhibited in and Belgium, Greece and Slovenia. Katharine’s photography is also featured in custom fine art prints, wall art, personalized home décor, stationary and more.
